The word "Moor" traces directly from Morrison — Sid's grandfather's middle name. Researching that name surfaced Fairbairn's Crest, the definitive British heraldic reference. Inside: the Morrison family crest — bearing three faces of Moors.
That crest became a personal symbol of ancestry, presence, and legacy. That symbol became a company. And the story of how one name connects to centuries of heritage became the founding proof of concept for Cultural Alchemy.
Sid grew up in graphic arts programs from middle school through college. He has worked in print shops, city agencies, think tanks, corporations, churches, nonprofits, and as a freelancer for over three decades. He has taught design. He has led community initiatives. He has been building visual systems his entire life — and Cultural Alchemy is the name for what that process has always been.
